bigtsr
If you must know average mph you could set the Trip odometer at the beginning and write down the engine hours shown in the EVIC when start the trip. Simply divide the trip odometer milage by the change in engine hours to give you average miles per hour.

Simply divide the trip odometer milage by the change in engine hours to give you average miles per hour. This won't work. Engine hours are by the hour - not minutes. Could be 3 minutes after or maybe 58 minutes after the hour - not accurate. Use your GPS. bigtsr
I don't know if the 2012 and up has it in the evic but in mine a 2011 SXT the evic shows hours-minutes-seconds in the trip menu and it starts timing when you set the trip odometer,I have used this method myself. My apologies bigstr. You are correct. I was looking at the "engine hours" screen in the EVIC.

dongman78
Thanks for your help guys. I'm looking at the manual right now and I see there's an option to display the Elapsed Time in the EVIC. I will play with that after work and see if I can track time per trip. Thanks again! Journeyman425
Average speed shows up in a sub-screen in the Nav system. Next time you take a trip, zero out all the values in that sub-screen and it will show you specific data about your trip, including average speed and max speed.
