PatriciaS
Someone mentioned on here how do you clean the light interior seats of an 09 DJ??? Well I found out!!! You use the foaming window cleaner in a can. Spray it directly on the seat and let it sit for about a minute, and then use a wet cloth to rub it in, and Walah it's clean. I tryed it a few months ago, and that's all I use now and my seats look so nice and clean.... Dyer89
onecrazyfoo4u
Just my preference, but I would use foaming seat cleaner for it since it's made for the job. Who knows what the window cleaner will do to the seat (stain it, degrade it in the long run, etc).
trevcda
I believe this is the glass cleaner being referred to: http://www.spraywayinc.com/content/glass-cleaner And she's right, it is an amazing cleaner that I've used on glass and stainless. I've also used it occasionally on plastics and upholstry when I really need to clean stubborn dirt. But onecrazy is also correct in that it does contain alcohol. And even "perfume grade alcohol", whatever that is, will probably not be good over the long term. The same company also makes a product made for the purpose that would be a better bet: http://www.spraywayinc.com/content/vinyl-leather-cleaner
Michelle Logan
Thanks for the info as I have an 09' and cannot get my seats clean!! I have used every foam cleaner for seats/upholstery out there!! Going to get some window cleaner and try it out !!
B4ZINGA
Be cautious and test a small out-of-sight section first. If the seats are cloth (I'm assuming they are since no one has mentioned proper leather cleaners), there is a chance the foam under the cloth could become wet and bleed into the cloth. I haven't had to clean cloth seats in probably 7 years, but I would start with using a shop vac to clean the seats, spray a dry foam on the stained area, let it dwell a few minutes, scrub it with a brush, wipe away with MF towel, and shop-vac it again. May take a few hits if the stains are old/bad. I clean my leather using that method and leather cleaners. Vac, spray cleaner, brush it on (I use a soft-bristle tooth brush), wipe away with towel, apply conditioner (not needed for cloth). jkeaton
The 09's had TERRIBLE material on the seats. Even water would stain them. We bout a nice set of covers and installed them so we would'nt have to look at the filthy things anymore. Michelle Logan
Michelle Logan
I have tried everything when it comes to cleaning my 09' seats and nothing works. They look disgusting because water even stains them :/, and with 3 grand kids it's hard to keep clean. jkeaton

Lobitz68
Easiest way, albeit not the least expensive, is an upgrade! http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/DODGE/2009/JOURNEYRT/Katzkin-Leather-Interiors/4494741/LTHROCS2DU.html (I'm sure they can be found cheaper eslewhere)
surveillancejourney
I use a product called Mean Green. Spray it I and let it sit for a minute then swirl the problem area with a small brush and wipe with cloth. Let dry and they come out looking new again. dhh3
