ONESHOT
I have a 2009 dodge journey that has started bucking and looses power then stalls. I had the dealership look at it and they charged me 100 $ to update the software . I still have the problem. Is any one else experiencing this issue. Now the dealership is telling me the code it throws is Fuel Pump or EGR.
Mcgusto82
What codes are there?
bigtsr
EGR will cause those symptoms however so will dirty or defective intake/fuel runners.

Hawaii
Hello, It is rarely the actual EGR valve that fails, more often, it is the EGR SENSOR.
Journeyman425
Most codes pertaining to EGR correlate to EGR position; you are correct. The sensor's job is to detect the EGR pintle position. The sensor, however, is part of the the EGR valve assembly and is replaced as a whole.
