jkeaton
It may be too late for this reply, but there is certainly a lack of clarity on whether the canbus bulbs are needed or not. I replaced the tailgate, map and soon the rear dome lights with #4410-NW9 (Natural White) festoon bulbs from superbrightleds.com. They are not canbus and they are bright and they work well in the DJ. I want to note that they also do the theater dimming to a certain point > then completely off. Remember that leds don't light up after voltage drops to a point. Thank you for that. Finally a definitive answer.

jkeaton
FYI, I finally bit the bullet and ordered regular LED's for the overhead lights. They work like a champ. I ordered these from amazon. Can't beat the price and man are these bright. http://www.amazon.com/Cutequeen-White-16-SMD-Festoon-Light/dp/B00B2YE4B4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-1&keywords=Cutequeen+White+42mm%281.72%22%29+16-SMD+12V+Festoon+Dome+Light+LED+Bulbs+211-2+212-2+569+578+-+White+%28pack+of+4%
