whitedodge13
So I brought my Journey in because when it rains and I go to turn the wheel it makes kind of a rubbing/squealing noise. This only happens though when its raining. So I brought in to get it checked and they said its just the boot rubbing against itself when you turn the wheel and that's what's causing the noise and nothing to worry about. Does anyone else that has the AWD model have this happen to them when they turn the wheel? I have had several AWD and 4wd vehicles and never had this happen before. Thanks! webslave
Our '13 R/T AWD is quiet. No squeaks or squealing noises (not even when we were at 10 degrees F, I didn't go out when it was -5 F). I have to make a left hand turn (all the way to the lock) at the end of our road and it is dead quiet in the cold or in the wet...

jkeaton
Spray some silicone or wd40 on the boot. If the noise goes away then it is truly just rubbing against itself.
