nvdale
Occasionally after start-up, there will be no sound from radio. Can change stations and bands but acts like volume is turned off. Turn ignition off and restart engine and it will be fine. My DJ is a 2012 with 38000 miles. Recently bought used. Love the car and hoping someone might have an idea why radio does this. Darkpaw
It seems to be an odd CANBUS issue. I've had this happen in my van a couple times. I've also had it be at like 25% volume (so full blast is barely audible). It is very rare that it happens, but it does happen. Perhaps there's a software patch for it? redtomatoman
There may be a TSB for your no sound condition. I don't have it in front of me. I can post it if necessary. Check with your service folks. They can run your VIN. Peace.

redtomatoman
Check and see if the update is available for your radio : https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do Is the the same update that was released on the internet maybe 2 yrs ago that allowed iPod playlists? Or is this one new and offering some necessary software updates? Peace.
bigtsr
I could be wrong but I seem to recall this problem before and the solution was pulling and resetting a fuse for the amp.
Official Dodge Support DodgeCACares Posted April 22, 2014 Official Dodge Support Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 I could be wrong but I seem to recall this problem before and the solution was pulling and resetting a fuse for the amp. bigtsr, I've been able to identify multiple radio enhancements which may address the concern, certainly wouldn't hurt to check the appropriate fuse either. I'd recommend having the vehicle into a Dodge Service Facility if anyone is having radio related issues. The Dealer Network has been provided quite a few software updates for issues similar to this. Darkpaw
Would it be possible to get a list of TSBs that relate to the radio? And any that could still apply for a 2014 model?
Journey Mom
I had this issue where NO sound was coming out, but the radio was on. I unplugged the amp wire under the passenger seat (wires with white end caps) and once plugged back in the sound worked perfectly! Give it a try. My dealership wanted to charge me to look into it, and my warranty is over! Too expensive!
