im2techy
Looking to see if anyone has used these on their Journey? http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx/Blind-Spot-Mirror-Universal-Wedge-Spot-Mirror/_/R-BK_7305786_0361068689 I'm a big believer in blind spot mirrors, and usually get the small round stick on versions from Canadian Tire or Walmart etc, but I'm looking for something bigger for my brand new 2014 Journey R/T. These are a nice shape, but I'm not sure how they'll fit on the outside lower or upper corner of the mirrors. If anyone has used these, I'd appreciate your feedback. Of course, I can't get them in Canada! Local NAPA stores don't have them, they're not in stock in any warehouse and they can't order them. This in spite of the fact that the Canadian site does list them. And the Canadian NAPA site doesn't have online ordering. While the US site does, they don't ship to Canada!! I'll need to get the usual rounds ones until I can make arrangements for a shopping trip state side, or make other arrangements with my American family & friends. mzems2
I just bought the stick on ones from Walmart. They're about 3" around and spin to change the angle of vision. So far so good
Bubba
I read in a popular mechanics magazine how to set your side mirrors , lean to your left and touch your head on door post and set mirror so you just see back corner of car then lean to right as far as you can without lifting off the seat and set mirror so you just see the back corner also . You will be amazed how it will eliminate your blind spot. As the car behind you starts to go out of view in your rear view mirror it starts coming into view in your side mirror . It takes a little to get use to but I do it all the time when driving on multilane highways . rolly and dhh3
im2techy
So I was in a Part Source over the weekend and found a few different options. They had a similar size, slightly different shape then the NAPA version, so I'm trying them out. Not an ideal fit, but I like them better than the round versions. So far so good. I have also adjusted the mirrors as advised by Bubba (and a few others ... there's a video posted under a different topic chain). Generally OK, but I still like the addition of the blind spot mirrors. Edited April 28, 2014 by im2techy
jkeaton
I use blind spot mirrors on all my vehicles. Once you get used to having them on, it's kinda hard to drive a car without them. I just find ones that fit the best without being too large. For the DJ, I believe they are the 2.5" round ones. My eclipse has smaller mirrors so smaller ones are on there. It beats straining my neck to try and turn my head to the blind spot all the time.
