cv axle part question

Recommended Posts

wanting to ask for recomadations on what part brand have you used for a cv axle total replacement . my daughters 2007 sxt caravan is knocking on both sides when turning. was going to use advance auto parts but then got checking on internet and it seems like A1cardone select joints seem alot better they can be bought from napa or over the internet a little cheaper since they give free shipping and no sales tax if bought thur auto parts warehouse .com, was going to use mopar joints but they are so expensive about $600. compared with about $160. with the cardone joints and advance auto joints were about $80 if you order online and use their $50. off coupon code thur retailmenot .com.. since she is hard on her van i want to try and get the best quality for the best value.. thanks in advance for your imput......n

thanks have been looking at the A1cardone axles, i called raxles 800 # the only do rice rocket axles but they are located in the USA and so out of luck with them, he wouldnt rec. anyone other than OME dealers he kept saying all the other part suppliers get all the parts from china. my daughter wants to go with the less expensive ones and hope they last if they dont guess it will be the dodge dealer as a last resort, also hate to ortder any thing off internet in case the new part doesnt match up with the ones we pull out will prob. go with the advance auto axles will let everyone know if they hold up....

Another alternative is www.rockauto.com which is a fantastic internet auto parts supplier and you can also contact them by phone if you have any questions. I have used them many times and yet to have any issues with wrong parts.

Funny you mention them... I have been using them for years with zero issues. Last week a buddy needed to do pads and rotors on all 4 corners of his 07 Maxima, so naturally I recommended Rock Auto. They ended up sending the wrong rear pads (everything else was right) and we ended up having to go up to the local parts store and grabbing some anyway. Was a real pain in the butt and delayed us pretty significantly. First time I've ever had an issue with them though, and hopefully the last...

Actually, after I made the post I was thinking if that were to happen how awful I would feel. Rockauto has always been very good with all of my purchases and I will always give them a plug when people are looking for parts.
