Anthony McQueen
Hello all. I purchased a 2013 Dodge Journey yesterday and am new to the forums. I have read alot of information on these forums about upgrading the 4.3" U-connect system using factory parts and chinese screen mods. But I haven't seen alot about the NAV-TV system, which seems like a comparable investment at $699. Has anyone tried this? http://www.amazon.com/NAV-TV-UCI-11C-Interface-Chrysler-U-Connect/dp/B0097UUK1S/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=03E6TVRGV301KGX6P921 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6ttyqCMpGQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GY2Rzyioib8 I am looking to upgrade a unit with no bluetooth, no gps, no camera. Tanbam
If you're thinking about spending $700 to upgrade your radio, you might think about just going for a 8.4 swap. If you buy salvaged parts from car-part.com, you could probably get it all taken care of for a comparable amount of money, especially if you don't care about Nav. You would need either an RB5 (Nav) or RE2 (non-Nav) radio, the 8.4 screen, the 8.4 bezel, and a new climate control panel with the SD card slot.
