eaglespiritbw
I have a 2011 dodge journey crew. I just had to get new tires for it. The Goodyear Assurance 225/55/19. The shop inflated the tires to 40psi which is the max load listed on the tire. However the sticker on the door says 36psi cold. Which is correct? Journeyman425
36 PSI cold is the correct pressure.
jkeaton
Door sticker trumps tire rating. Unless you have aftermarket wheels, then all bets are off. Windancer

bramfrank
So you know for the future, the sidewall marking is for the ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM inflation pressure - more than that and you risk a blowout. That's why they provide owner's manuals.
