RedeyeJedi
So my passenger side low beam is out. The bulb is still good, I swapped it to the drivers side to double check. What could be wrong? Had the car since last Wednesday.....New 2014 Edited June 15, 2014 by RedeyeJedi
bigtsr
It could be a software glitch that requires a system reset of the TIPM and while it's nice to fix these things yourself without a dealer visit I would say as it's a '14 DJ use the warranty. 2late4u and RedeyeJedi
RedeyeJedi
Of course, but if I can save a dealer trip i'd rather not waste my time if its a 10 min fix.
bigtsr
Then disconnect the negative side of the battery at the jumper point for 10 minutes and reconnect to reboot the TIPM and associated electronics to see if that clears it up. RedeyeJedi
Right, so after a few days of driving, the light magically started working again. Did nothing but drive the vehicle and now its working perfectly. Wonder if a code got tripped then fixed itself? Really odd, but so is electricity.....its all voodoo and witchcraft to me. Lobitz68
I would check the wiring... Sounds like a loose wire or bad ground.

Also, Dodges use the "TIPM", which is pretty much a dealer only service item anyways... Thought maybe the socket wasn't fully seated or something simple. RedeyeJedi
Well, when I checked the bulbs initially I put some dielectric grease on the connectors because there wasn't any. Maybe that fudged it up, I dunno, or fixed it maybe LOL. Edited June 23, 2014 by RedeyeJedi
