TPMS - Displaying PSI for all tires?

Recommended Posts

I have a questions that is driving me insane. We just picked up a 2009 Journey R/T with just about everything in it. We were told thet tha EVIC will display the PSI for all of the tires, just like our 2007 Nitro used to. If you went to the EVIC and paged until you saw the "System OK" page, you would see a down arrow and once you pushed the down arrow it would show all of the tires and the PSI. Well, the "System OK" page is there and it has the down arrow on it, but when you push it, it does nothing.

Does anyone have the ability to see the tire PSI?

Thanks, this is driving me nutz!

I can't see the pressure either.

I reread the manual and if I understand it correctly it only says that the pressure will be displayed in the EVIC in case the pressure gets to low.

It doesn't say that you can view it at will.

But I can be wrong.

I can't see it either. Only the low tire pressure idiot light comes on for me.

So it is in the book that we should be able to see it in the EVIC when low and none of us with EVIC can see it. Who wants to explain this to a dealer first? The fact that other models do or don't show it all the time does not mean much. My 2001 Jeep had way more functions in the EVIC that this does and I am still trying to get used to that.

I know they have a few EVIC one where the button is in the dash, and the other where the controls are in the steering wheel. That may have something to do with it, maybe, lol.

I have explained it to the dealer and went as far as calling the customer service number but go nowhere! It is supposed to have the same EVIC as our 2007 Nitro, but no one knows why it does not have the PSI display.

Hi all,

so...since I am new here and have basically NO knowledge about cars beyond how to drive them (which I am sure you'll see if I make further postings lol) what does EVIC stand for and how do I know if I have it on my new Journey?
