Austin Scarano
I have had my 2012 Dodge Journey for over a year now...LOVE IT....until today.I have never had a problem with it so it makes me sad it's acting up:-( I was dropping my husband off at work this morning and the car was fine, got on the freeway to get home no problem, got off and got to the stop light and that's when everything went to hell...It starts shaking, then the light turned green to go and it kept hesitating to accelerate...then the engine light came on! What do I do now? Heat gage was normal, gas was a little low so I Idol'ed it down the street to get gas and that didn't work, I've NEVER had a problem with this car before....I'm so frustrated! Mitch Storozuk
Might be an emission problem. Have the code read to find out.

Sorry that you experienced an issue with the vehicle. Have you contacted your servicing dealer to review vehicle as it seems you may be still under factory warranty? dhh3
Welcome to the forum. Go to an auto parts store, and see if they can pull any codes for you. If they find any, you can look them up on the web. Since this is a one time deal, you cant reset your TIPM by disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery for about 15 minutes or so. This will reset your computer - like doing a restart on windows. Then, see what you get. Also, since your tank was low, there could have been debris in the tank that clogged the gas filter. If any codes indicate a cylinder misfire, you might be able to solve the problem by running good fuel injector cleaner through the system.
