Daks1954
I have a 2013 Dodge Journey Crew with the 8.4n uConnect system, Navigation, SiriusXM Radio, Traffic, Travel Link. I bought the car in July of 2013, I have been trying to get a map update for this past year to no avail. NavTeq (now Here.com), states, that I have the latest map updates for my system. (www.navigation.com). I have contacted NavTeq support, they state that the map updates come from Chrysler, Chrsler states I have to go to NavTeq for the updates. Who is correct, right now I am not enamored with either company. I want to get a current map update. Anyone else run into this problem. Thanks
redtomatoman
Did your uconnect alert you to an outdated map? Peace.
rolly
I have the same system in my Journey and in May I noticed a message on my navigation system advising me there was an update available. When I went to the website to check, it said my system was up to date.

Thanks rolly, Your dealer is also a good resources for confirming these updates, in this case there was contradicting information which your dealer could help clear up based on the access they have to the specified updates. @Daks1954 - Navteq is in fact responsible for the map updates available for the Uconnect systems. Hopefully that clears things up, sorry for the miscommunication that lead to this confusion. Mark101

When I went to the website to check, it said my system was up to date. On my 2011 uconnect, my screen simply says that my map version is over a year old, if I recall correctly. Mine does not elude to update availability I don't think. Interesting. Peace.
rstukes
Yes, I have this same problem in my 204 Dodge Journey Lmtd. I recall receiving a message to renew satellite radio (which I did not want to renew)- shortly after I started receiving the message "can't unlock maps". I did not find any corrective measures in any navigational settings.
