2014 DJ engine stall while driving on highway

Recommended Posts

Anyone encountered this problem on a 2014 2.4l DJ ? Driving home from Grand Canyon 20 miles down the highway lost power engine stalled. I only had 8250 miles when it happened. Would not restart thought it was my key fob at first. When I pressed the engine on button it was acting up like as if it was out of gas. Finally got it started after 30 min, was able to drive in town for check engine light reading. Auto zone read me a code but didn't write down, it said crank shaft sensor error. Could this be a recall? Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry to hear you experienced a problem during your trip. The dealer should review vehicle to see if the code is still stored and review further as to what happened. Dealer can review for service bulletins and if vehicle has any open recalls.
