Red G8R
So another problem I've encountered this past weekend is with trickle charging my new Journey. Basically I've parked it for the next two months so I attach an automatic battery trickle charger (2A) only to notice that the dash info center (between the gauges) lights up saying "press brake pedal to start" plus the ignition button light is also on. Yet the car is locked and I'm outside the car. Any clues? I've never encountered this with my other cars. jkeaton
I dont even know if newer vehicles support "trickle charging'. There are so many electronics and computers and such. It probably thinks the engine is running since the battery voltage is being a bit "boosted" by the charger. It might be a pain, but you might have to disconnect the negative battery terminal to isolate the battery from the cars electronics.
