Scerni
I have a 2012 journey Canada value pack and I am thinking about getting a pop up trailer to do some camping with the fam. Will I be able to tow it? Will I have to get any kind of add on. I've never towed anything before. How much can I even haul?
rolly
Starting on page 452 of your owner's manual, the section explains the towing capabilities for each model and engine. On page 458, it states that 1,000 pounds is the maximum allowed for the 2.4 cylinder. By the way welcome to the forum. Edited August 19, 2014 by rolly Scerni
Scerni
Would that include passenger weight? So if the fam and I plus our stuff weighs 500lbs does that mean I can only tow 500 more lbs. ?
Lobitz68
Nope, that would be the gross vehicle weight rating... the tongue weight from what you tow would be included in that number though. Here is an explanation of the terminology that you will likely see in your owners manual. http://www.woodalls.com/articledetails.aspx?articleID=153379
