iPod Dock Connector

Recommended Posts

I bought my Journey RT 2 days ago with the Entertainment Group II options. I understand that it should have the iPod connector in the glovebox but I cannot locate it in either box.

Can someone let me know that with the uConnect options, should it not be there?

Thanks in advance.

I have the SXT and it is located in the upper corner of the bottom glove box. If I remember correctly it has a cover or top that needs to flip up to connect the ipod. I have mine plugged in and it charges the ipod so no need to take it out and recharge it. Let me know if you find it,ok.

It should be clipped to the glove box but you may have to buy the adapter cable from the dealer. My RT had the connector in the glove box but not the cable for connecting to the iPod. I will say that I like the integration. Good luck.

Hi, I've the same problem with my R/T that I have bought one week ago.

I can tell you that I'm Italian, so I have an european version (I don't know if there are differences with US version), I've Entertainment Group I, MyGig, Uconnect and navi.

When I asked to my dealer why there wasn't the cable, he told me that with the navi factory equipped the cable is not supported, but I'm not convinced about this answer.

Now I'm waiting for a more specific answer from him, he is asking to Dodge Italy.

Bye, sergio

Really, the cable came with my Journey. I had the wireless head sets and rear video as well, maybe they were all a packaged deal?

I'm not sure if the ipod interface cable comes with a "package". I bought my 09 Journey with the same entertainment package as you describe and the connector wasn't in the glove box. The cable was clipped in the upper left on the glovebox but the parts counter staff had no idea what I was looking for or where it went. I finally asked them to let me take both of the cables they had listed out to the car and try them both. Process of elimination being what it is. It cost me about $38.00 but well worth it.
