Taylorbrush
I have a new 2014 SXT and I've been trying to locate the "Chill Zone" beverage cooler, but I'm beginning to think they removed it as an option... Anyone else notice this?
redtomatoman
Yes. The last year the chill zone appeared in the DJ was 2010. Peace. jkeaton
jkeaton
If it aint where it used to be (above the glove box on our 09) it does not exist. They did away with it. Never worked for us anyway. Just became another glove box (or junk holder box),
dhh3
I suppose if you put some ice in the rear floor compartments they could be considered beer coolers. But, they are very hard to reach while driving.

Can get just about a 12-pack in each one with ice. jkeaton
bigtsr
I take that as Indiana humor. jkeaton
dhh3
That would be Hoosier Humor! jkeaton
redtomatoman
I use mine all the time... Can get just about a 12-pack in each one with ice. Right. I use one for road colas, and one for my wetsuit or muddy riding shoes or anything wet. I think I'm one of the few who would have used the chill zone for its intended purpose if my 2011 had one. Peace.
dhh3
I think that they worked off of the AC unit, but that part must have been on all the time. I think the the Cobalt had one too, but I'm not sure. It would be more convenient to have it in a more accessible spot!
bigtsr
I had the chill zone in my Caliber, take my word it was a sales gimmick and only kept previously cooled items cool longer. You had to turn the ac on except in the winter when of course the inlet air temp was equal to outside temp.
