4th to 5th upshift shudder, 2010, 6 speed auto, 3.5 V6

Has anyone had this problem and had it fixed.

My dealership has had the ECM flashed, torque converter changed and after 500 km's it still does it once in a while (they told me it needed a breakin time of 4 hrs driving) For some reason they will not swap out the auto transmission.

They just keep on trying to fix this one. They changed the oil and filter also. Problem has been going on for 2 yrs now.

It doesn't do it when I use the Auto-Stick for my upshifts. Shifts are fine then, not shuddering going into 5th gear.

Thanks in advance

Tropper,

Sorry to hear this issue has been going on for such a lengthy amount of time.

It seems that your dealer has been trying to fix it by replacing parts and performing repairs. Has there been any comparisons to other DJs on the lot?

I've never noticed this shudder myself, has anyone else noticed this??

Update # 2

Still doing it but at a far less rate than before. I will report back after 1000 km's on the latest repair (600 km's now).

Tropper,

Thanks for the update !

Sounds like things are certainly moving in the right direction.

Did your dealer mention that there would be an adaptation period or anything of the sorts?

Yes they did. (4 hrs driving time) It was still doing it in that period but its as stated getting better. I will give it the longer Adaption period (break-in) time before I report back to the forum and the dealership.

Tropper,

Thanks again for the update.

Hopefully the condition continues to work itself out and is resolved soon.
