I always remove my badges on day one, but dipped badges can look very nice if done correctly... Can I ask what issues you ran into that you had to do it so many times? The issues i had were probably my fault, and not being careful enough? removing the excess from around the edges and dealing with the damn font they chose lol the E's are a pain to get the dip out from. I followed the manufactures steps exactly 3 times and it either didnt stick right or did not tear at the seams. So i went with my own way of doing it and only waited 5 mins between coats (out of frustration) and being a bit more paranoid while removing excess and that seemed to work.
