Greg D
Our 2010 SXT Journey has been making unnecessary revving sounds when we are driving in town - has been doing this since around 35,000 to 40,000 kms, and still doing it at 85,000. Took it in months ago, and Dodge dealer said they could hear the problem, but can't determine the issue - any ideas?
Lobitz68
I'd start with a new dealer... could be something as simple as a vacuum leak somewhere.
jkeaton
Unnecessary revving sounds???? Is accompanied by unnecessary acceleration? While driving? Stopped at a light? In park, drive? Could you be a little more descriptive?

Are you hearing this same noise in any other conditions? In these cases, it's crucial to be able to duplicate the noise and possibly compare to another similar model to determine the nature of condition. I recommend you continue working with your dealer. bigtsr
If it has a tach watch it as this happens. The "sounds as if revving up" would be verified. jkeaton
