225/65R/17 VS. 225/60R17

Been looking at used winter tires for my 2014 DJ RT (225/55R/19). It appears that the recommended winter steel rim and tire replacement is 225/65R/17 with a -0.79% diameter variance. I can get a set of winter yokohamas with 90% thread on rims but the size is 225/60R/17 with a -3.88% diameter variance (as per the 1010 site). These are from a Journey but I don't know the year and model. Any comments on these Yokohamas, do I take a chance? I read somewhere that greater than 3% variance increases the risk of brake failure. I know it will affect the speedometer. What would YOU do????

I am going to be swapping between the stock 225/65R17 tires with a set of 225/60R17 winter tires I have, a .9" difference in height. The difference in the speedo is negligible. The winter tires will only be mounted 3-4 months.
