Eric Menezes
I have a brand new Dodge Journey RT, less than a month old, and if the heated seats and steering wheel commands are turned ON they do not automatically come ON when the vehicle is remotely started. Is this normal? If it is, this defeats a vital function of remote starting the vehicle! Any feedback is appreciated.
larryl
It has to be 40*f or below for them to come on remote start or not at least on my 2013 Crew when the feature is turned on
RaptorsFan
Here is what is says in my manual: Customer Programmable Features — Uconnect Touch™ System 8.4 Settings • Auto-On Driver Heated/Ventilated Seat With Vehicle Start — If Equipped When this feature is selected the driver’s heated seat will automatically turn on when temperatures are below 40° F (4.4° C). When temperatures are above 80° F (26.7° C) the driver vented seat will turn on. To make your selection, touch the Auto Heated Seats soft-key, until a check-mark appears next to setting, showing that setting has been selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key to return to the previous menu.

The owner's manual and user guides are invaluable for finding answers to all sorts of questions. I even surprise myself from time to time when reading over different materials and stumble across something new. rolly
jkeaton
No one reads their owners manual anymore. Easier to jump on a forum and ask others to read it for you.
rolly
It's called the "Tim the Tool Man Taylor syndrome"! Most people wait until the brown stuff hits the fan before they check the owners manual and it's not just for vehicles. jkeaton
jkeaton
Guess I'm old school. First thing I do is pour over the owners manual. I prefer to teach myself rather than have someone else teach me on basic things like vehicle operation and maintenance. rolly
rolly
Guess I'm old school. First thing I do is pour over the owners manual. I prefer to teach myself rather than have someone else teach me on basic things like vehicle operation and maintenance. My wife says I'm a fanatic about it. I started reading the Journey manual before we purchased it and I still refer to it several times a week. I keep and read the owners manuals for everything we buy. The day we brought the Journey home, I spent an hour sitting in it going over all the features and my wife didn't know where I was lol. jkeaton
