Johnson
Just wanted to drop a line in the mods room as well in case anyone's looking to install the backup cam. Just did it myself and documented it in the following thread: http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/6259-43s-to-84-uconnect-and-backup-camera-installed/

Johnson
Thanks, yeah it was a big job but I'm glad I did it. Sure learned a lot about the internals of the car
2late4u
Thanks, yeah it was a big job but I'm glad I did it. Sure learned a lot about the internals of the car i had one added to my 2011 and then added one to my 2014, i let the dealer do it as they only charged me $90. for the install and the camera was $265. so i thought if i have to pay a dealer to flash it hell ill just let them do the install that way if something goes wrong or some trim gets broke its on them... love my back up cam. I had read your posts about your deal before I started the process. That was a bargain! I wasn't going to be able to score that. I really thought about just having them do it but my brother came over and we worked on it together so it ended up being a nice little project. I did end up have to replace one of the pins as it broke from fishing the wire. That was kinda dicey replacing it. And D, I bought my Journey in Oregon so I definitely couldn't do that, ha ha, but definitely an easier option!
