Sparkyssxt
On the side mirrors, the outer painted plate seems like it's removable. Probably have to bake it for a bit to do it tho. My mirror was broken a while back and I'm having a hard time finding a white journey in the yards around here to replace it. And there's no way I want to spend the 300 bucks my local paint shops are charging to paint it. Has anyone else tried removing/replacing this painted clip on plate? jkeaton
Tape it off real good and paint it on the car. Lobitz68
dhh3
Did you look on ebay? Sometimes you can find painted pieces.
Lobitz68
Tape it off real good and paint it on the car. This... Although I would paint it off of the car. Tape should do the trick if you take your time and do a good job. jkeaton
ltdjourney
I removed mind no problem never broke them . just turn your mirror all the way in look u will see a little clip just get a small flat screw driver and flip it up , then turn mirror all the way up tipping it in on top u will see same clips, just do that al way around and pry cap slowly from outside to in toward car and they should come off good luck works better in warmer weather above 60's
Sparkyssxt
Thanks ltdjourney. I was thinking it would be something simple like that. I'll be disassembling the housing beforehand tho so I don't have to tilt the mirror to the extremes
