dhh3
Awesome. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about my Pentastar. It appears as though each cylinder has its' own coil pack. For the life of me, I do not understand why, on the 3.7, Mopar went for 6 to 3 packs. Each pack had to serve 2 cylinders. It would seem to me they would have to work 2x faster, and possibly wear faster.
bigtsr
They have been using the plug coil packs for a while as I had them on my 2007 Caliber , lot easier to troubleshoot misfires.
Brandon Bella Bell
I changed out the plug and the coil pack in the 3rd cylinder that fixed the misfire, however yesterday when I was on the interstate going up a hill and maintaining 70mph it still chugged slightly. I am going to change the other 3 spark plugs this week.
bigtsr
You always replace plugs as a complete set. If you are going to do it - do it right the first time. The coil packs being more costly it's ok to replace the bad one only they are either good or bad.
