jclane1984
So I just bought a 2010 Journey R/T and as I was getting ready to program the homelink buttons on the visor, I noticed that the vanity lights on the driver and passenger side are not working along with the homelink buttons. What could be the problem? I thought maybe a blown fuse or something, but have no clue which one to check. Any help would be appreciated. bigtsr
Usually the owners manual will give a fuse designation chart. Try resetting the TIPM by disconnecting the battery for 1--20 minutes. Have any aftermarket electronics been added to the DJ?

Lobitz68
I'm going to third their responses... Check the owners manual. It is possible that a wire is loose somewhere too if the person before you did any customization.
dhh3
Welcome to the forum. Looks like you received some useful information on where to start. Do the rest of the interior lights work? Or, are you talking about the lights on the back of the sunvisors?
jclane1984
The lights on the back of the sunvisors. Neither side works and the garage door opener doesn't work either, like they aren't getting power. The little door on the drivers side visor is missing so Im assuming they must have done something so the light won't stay on Edited December 17, 2014 by jclane1984
jclane1984
I forgot to mention, it doesn't have any mods that I know of and the lights in the overhead console do work.
jkeaton
Little things you find out after buying a used car. They might have just unplugged the wire harness inside the headliner to keep the lights off since that cover is broken. You can remove the visor and see if it's unplugged. Lobitz68
Yeah, if the cover is gone that may be all that the issue is. Let us know what you find...
