How long does it typically to order new Journey?

Recommended Posts

Ordered 2015 model from the dealership on Oct. 10th.

Its still not here. Over 8 weeks. What gives?

I figure a) there's a part shortage, b) too much demand, or c) they are pushing it to North Carolina from Mexico.

Anyone else experiencing long wait times?

Getting frustrated.

We ordered our Journey September 10th 2013 and we took ownership on December 10th 2013. Our salesperson kept us up to date during the whole process. Anticipation!

rolly,

Good point here, the dealer has the ability to verify the build status and track delivery so it's best to keep the lines of communication open with the salesperson involved.

any one else notice DodgeCares never responds to any problems.Canada is lucky the DodgeCaCares is always stepping up and trying to help. thanks DodgeCaCares.........

2late4u,

I know it can be difficult to respond and engage a big number of threads.

For me, I'm involved with a long list of other forums which cover other vehicle platforms as well.

We'll continue to be involved as much as possible.

I hope everyone has a safe holiday season !!! :)

Update on the order -

After emailing the sales guy (no response), I called him (he said he'd check on it and call me back). I never heard from him,

so the next day, I called the Sales Manager. Within 5 minutes I was told the car was in New Orleans on a train, estimated to be in NC on Dec. 27th and at the dealership by the 31st.

So, I expect to take delivery by months end or early January. Nearly 3 months after I placed the order. This seems a little excessive to me.

At any rate, you'd think the sales guy (who I assume is getting the commission) would be inclined to keep me updated for customer service reasons.

Hard to find good people these days.

No he's got the commission and generally marginally successful

sales people move on because they don't follow up and keep

their existing or past client base happy.

I generally buy a new car every 4-5 years at the same dealership

since 1984 and I still get calls and greeting cards (albeit corporate)

on a year to year basis.
