Canadian Paul
Hello, If anybody out there has any concerns/doubts about how their Journey would fare in an accident, I now have personal experience to let you know that this is one extremely safe car. Coming home from work on Monday, i was stopped at a traffic light. All of a sudden I hear the sound of a skidding car. The last thing I remember seeing clearly was the high beam headlights of a Chrysler 300 coming right at me. I got T-boned in the driver's door by a car going over 100 kph! The side airbags all deployed, my steering wheel got shifted to the right and my DJ got shoved about 4 feet to the right. Let's just say that the investigating officer told me that if I did not have the side airbags, I would be in RVH in Barrie, ON for a good 2 months. All I had to show was bruises on my left side of my body where the impact zone was and where the interior door panels hit me upon impact. DJ is a total write off with damages amounting to about $13 000 in total. Now to find a replacement DJ!! Potlicquor and rolly

rolly
Wow! Glad to hear you're alright. You didn't have to go to all that trouble to let us know how safe the Journey is though. Now use some of that good luck to buy a lottery ticket and buy your new Journey!.

af3ll
I'm glad to hear you're ok and the car will hold up. My wife will be driving ours when we get it so this is great news.
Jay Sixspeedrt
Interesting info. I've been very impressed with the crash ratings of my Dodge vehicles (Journey and Challenger) but never want to 'test' them this way. Great to know, glad you're ok, and best wished finding a replacement vehicle.
YellowDuck
Thanks for sharing this and so glad tom learn that you emerged relatively unscathed. How did the other driver make out?
