David Cullen Posted December 24, 2014 Report Share Posted December 24, 2014 Hello all, last week my father bought my fiancée and I a 2009 Journey SXT as our Christmas present for the next 5 years lol. I don't mind as we needed a bigger car then my '01 Neon. Has 140K miles as the previous owner used it to commute nearly 200 miles a day to and from work. Overall, we're very impressed so far. Getting just under 22 MPG using 87 octane gas with the 3.5L HO V6. Our kids love the 3rd row seating as now they aren't packed together like sardines and they love the DVD. The backup camera is nice, especially with the headrest from the 3rd row seating sticking up or the DVD monitor down blocking the rearview mirror. With everything our kids got this year from my fiancée's parents, I'm glad we got a Journey. The kids got so much, could only fit 1/3 of everything this trip.
