gazjoureny
Hi all, Just got back from the 1000km Christmas trip. Dodge journey fully loaded , 2 adults, 2 kids , the dog and all of the Christmas presents. Trip is from Canberra to south west Victoria 60% freeway (cruise control set on 114km) and the rest country B roads. Trip computer shows 7.8L/100km and DTE of 940kmTo say I am impressed from a 3.6L V6 is an understatement :-)
bigtsr
I experience the same results on hiway trips but really you should pat yourself on the back because economy has a lot to do with how you drive.
Journey_SeXT
You've achieved my all time best fuel economy when I drove down to Florida. I was blown away when I filled the tank and got the 944 km DTE. Truly amazing on the highway!!
dhh3
I think it is time that the US goes metric so that I could understand this!
Journey_SeXT
I think it is time that the US goes metric so that I could understand this! Sounds good to me so I can relate to how many miles to the next exit when I`m travelling in the U.S. It`s the only thing that makes us feel like distant neighbors. :sandbox:
Lobitz68
I think it is time that the US goes metric so that I could understand this! Ha! Every 100km traveled uses 7.8L of fuel... It equates to about 30mpg. BrianS
Actually, 7.8 is about 36mpg... dhh3
BrianS
And, of course, that is to the Imperial gallon and not the US gallon. About a quart or so bigger I think. dhh3

Lobitz68
Interesting fact for info. Guess your just one of those backward countries - lol. The rest of the world is just a bunch of damn conformists!! :poke: I have to do everything in both standard and metric at work, so it's not exactly Greek to me, but the measurement of liters/100 kilometers is odd... I would be more interested in how many kilometers I get out of a liter than I would be in how many liters it takes to make it 100 km... Just seems backwards. Perhaps because the number would be so small?

Perhaps because the number would be so small? I use an old mileage tracking app that does give the number of km/liter.
