Yossef Maga
Hey! It seems like i'll be purchasing a 2012 Dodge Journey (37k km) but i've been reading about a lot of problems people have had with the 2009-2011 Journeys. So it leads me to some questions: Have the problems that were persistent in the older models been upgraded/fixed in any way (specifically brake pads/rotors)? Should I be weary of buying a 2012 Dodge Journey for any other reasons or would you recommend this car?

Lobitz68
The 2012 model should have the bigger brakes. Pretty easy to tell by looking at the wheels. The big brakes leave very little room behind the wheel compared to the smaller brakes on earlier models.
B4ZINGA
As I recall, the later models received dual-piston calipers with 13" rotors. They fill the void inside the front wheels rather well. My 14 Journey hasn't had any unusual brake issues.
