demanded101
I recently purchased a 2015 Journey CVP and absolutely love it. I have installed a mirror mounted aftermarket backup camera, stereo bluetooth intergration, and remote start. In love with the vehicle. The only gripe I have is the lack of overhead storage (primarily for my sunglasses. Small yes, but still...) My question is, if anyone is aware of any overhead storage compartments that I would be able to install that would match nicely with the Journey's interior. I have done a bit of searching, but so far have come up empty. Any suggestions or ideas would be great.
redtomatoman
Couldn't you add the overhead compartment/sunglass holder that appears in other DJ trims? Seems to me like a good place to start.

dhh3
Welcome to the forum. Mine has a nice overhead console with two map lights that pivot, a pocket for sun glasses and if you partiall hit the middle one, it comes down as a curved rear view mirror to see the people in back, who you are talking to. I can't imagine anything tough about mounting this one since it is a DJ part. Edited February 9, 2015 by dhh3
bramfrank
That isn't an easy retrofit - the headliner is different between the base models and the ones with the overhead console . . . it is a different design that accommodates the deeper recess above the large console, with it's mirror and storage compartment. dhh3
OIC. I learned something new today. Thank you for the post. I did not compare models when I bought mine. The dealer only had 4 DJs at the time. Mine was the first and only one I looked at because of the color!

I've reviewed our Mopar website and haven't been able to locate any accessories that match what you're looking for. Have you spoken to the parts dept. at your dealer yet? demanded101
Thank yly for the warm welcome. I have spoken to the dealer, they say no go. I have looked around the MOPAR site and found nothing. I've thought about replacing the entire interior roof panel but that is not an easy (or cheap) mod. I just thought maybe someone has heard of an aftermarket add on (such as an overhead dvd system type of thing) I never thought I would miss overhead storage. Oh well... bramfrank
It occurs to me that you might well be able to get a headliner AND a console from a scrap yard . . . if you can find one locally you'll find it easier to get it home clean and in one piece. demanded101
I have looked around. I could only find one in my area for 850$. it seemed quite steep, but I didn't have any information to go on
