onecrazyfoo4u
I'm trying to picture if I'd like yellow fog lights with my 5000k HID headlamps. I would get some 5W LED fog lights as well as some yellow tint film to put over the fog light housing (About $15 for everything). Anybody done anything like that on the DJ? I'm not looking for extreme light output from the fogs or anything, just a good look to contrast the HID's. I've had the matching white LED fogs, but want to change it up. It's on a dark storm gray 2012 journey. http://www.ebay.com/itm/361079561359?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&var=630422868364&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.com/itm/281588112525?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&var=580598062000&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
dhh3
There is not much out there for replacement of our fog light bulbs. I had the same bulbs in my Nitro and searched for over a year for a yellow bulb.

onecrazyfoo4u
Well, not much motion on here, so I'll go ahead and order the yellow tint and bulbs and report back!
dhh3
They are everywhere on ebay and amazon. Just search for H16 LED bulb. Do you need a resistor with these bulbs?
onecrazyfoo4u
Do you need a resistor with these bulbs? Nope, no resistor needed. I've had different H16 LED fog light bulbs for a couple of years. Just looking to change up the color from cool white to yellow. Only difference with H16 bulbs is you have to trim off a little tab on the mounting clip...takes a minute to do. You'll see which ones need trimmed off when you compare it to the oem bulbs. jkeaton
Nokya PSX24W 2504 Fog Light Bulbs - Hyper Yellow 2500K 24W (Stage 1) NOK7691 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K6Q4TLE/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_8p2jvb1HBHNAW Anyone installed these?
onecrazyfoo4u
I would personally go for LED lights. They are cheaper and will not burn out. I got mine put in, and turns out they are more amber than yellow. I'm still trying to decide if I dig it or not. I'll post some pics when I remember to see what ya'll think. dhh3
Nokya PSX24W 2504 Fog Light Bulbs - Hyper Yellow 2500K 24W (Stage 1) NOK7691 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K6Q4TLE/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_8p2jvb1HBHNAW I copied your link, and pasted it in the search engine on ebay and bought a pair last night. $29.95. Free shipping. I will post results and pictures. They come from California. I have used Nokya bulbs in the past, and never had issues with them. I have never bought anything from Amazon. Funny, though, some books I buy on ebay come from Amazon! In all reality, fog lights are supposed to be yellow. The yellow produces less glare and reflection off of the fog, and actually lets you see better and farther in the fog. I know, because I grew up on the East end of Long Island, NY, and the fog there can be so thick you can not see the leading edge of your hood! I have no idea why all fog lights do not come with yellow bulbs. Of course, everyone drives with them on, whether it is foggy or not! So, I guess that it is a moot point! dhh3
Never bought anything from Amazon???? Holy crap, welcome to the new millennium! I buy ~$100 worth of stuff a month from Amazon! No, only ebay. I never learned to use Amazon, so I just stick to what I know. I guess it is because of the way they display their items. dhh3
Bulbs have arrived. I'm going to have my dealer install them when I get my hitch installed. I had my Dealer install these yesterday while it was up on the lift for an oil change. Nokya 2500K_24 w, PSX24W. I tried to take pictures but my iPhone pictures them as white, not yellow! I'll try it at night, and see what I get. I'll try my digital camera, also.
