sdeveau
We purchased our V6 SXT with performance suspension and steering in September of 2008. The performance package comes with the 19" rims. We've got a sunroof and an aftermarket mopar rear DVD system that is a little bit bigger than what comes pre-installed. We love the utility, the storage, and the funtionality of this vehicle! The supspension makes it feel like we're driving a sports car. I love the power adjustable driver's seat; I like to sit up high, my husband low and back. We opted out of the third row because we're a family of three and make a least a half dozen trips to Hamilton from Ottawa (approximately 600 kms each way) every year. With toddler in tow, that means a lot of luggage! I love the fact that when friends get in, they ask if it's a Hybrid or if it's even on because the engine is so quiet. I've actually thought the car was off when it wasn't, had to make sure by looking at the RPMs. My husband and I were married in October and we used our shiny new Inferno Red Journey as our chariot. The fold-flat front passenger seat made it so much easier to manouver my dress while the oh-so practical in-floor cooler/storage bin kept our champagne nice and chilled! The grocery hooks and cargo net are so valuable. I love the way this vehicle looks. My husband and I loved it the first time we saw a commercial for it. We were in the dealership asking for information on it before many of them even knew anything about it. We did our research and bang for our buck, this crossover was built for us. Pet Peeves: -We have power up and down on the driver's side window, but only power down on the passenger side. That's annoying! -Learned the hard way that turning on the front defrost was a bad idea when cleaning the snow off. Once you're done, you have to clean the snow off the inside too! Have to make sure the vents are open to point at head and feet or just head and then turn the recirculation on. You get used to it but it's annoying that I can't defrost my window until AFTER I clean the snow off. -That groaning noise when turning left. -Low fuel indicator alerts when there is an eighth of a tank until empty. Our 78 litre tank never takes more than 65 litres from the red empty line. Needless to say, there is such thing as too much warning. -We've had to replace the horn once because, get this, sometimes it cuts out and then takes a few minutes to regain consiousness. After replacing the horn, problem still exists. -We had a sensor replaced in the windshield washer reservoir because it was alerting us to the fluid being low, even after fill-up. -We've already had one fog light replaced because it burnt out. -Intermittently the alarm goes off when we use the fob to unlock. This has happened three times already, we had a diagnostic done after the second time, I've posted a separate topic on this if you want to know more. -At 14, 700 kms the breaks were cleaned, not replaced, because they squealed so much we thought they needed to be changed. We took it in and they said they must have had rust build up or grit on them from the winter, so they cleaned them. Sounds a little odd to you too, eh? The vehicle is at the dealership right now, picking it up tomorrow so we'll see. -We had to have the passenger side front seat repaired because the stiching came out. -It sucks that we have to keep taking it in for warranty related issues. A brand new vehicle should only have to go in for regular maintenance. The '04 compact we traded in had less problems with it! While all the little problems are building up the frustration, every time I drive it I love it more. If it weren't for all the electronic glitches, this vehicle would be absolutley amazing, for now, it's just a Chrysler.
wyoram
I know what you mean. I have a few wrinkles in mine that I am trying to get ironed out too.
