You should see improvements between 4 - 5000 miles.

Some of the improvements come from the tranny learning

your driving style as for the motor with todays build technology

they don't really need it.

Change your oil and/or go to synthetic for more mpgs.

Picked her up today. This is the first new rig I have purchased. The ride is excellent. I have 9th just over 100 miles on it, dealership to my house, 19.9mpg. Not bad so far. 26k out the door... not bad, my trade turned out to be negative equity. Hope the wife likes it.

you will find about 21-23 about avg for combined driving depending on your driving style and 24-28 strictly interstate driving. mostly is what i see of about 19 in city but i live in a small town so i hardly ever see that #####
