gallegos07
I purchased a 2015 journey because of its cargo room, size, and economy. But I read it has a 20 gallon tank and even my owners Manuel says 20 gallons. But I put gas recently from empty and at only 3\4 of a tank it was at 10/11 gallons. Any suggestions or am I just reading it wrong.. Thanks
jkeaton
Welcome to the forum. Lots of members complain about not being able to fill completely. There are threads on the subject.
dhh3
Welcome to the forum. I rarely let it go below 1/2 but at that point I can put 10 gallons in.

2late4u
I would refill it several times and if you think something is wrong take it back to the dealer...Welcome to the group... Edited March 17, 2015 by 2late4u
pacman
I always let my out of gas warning to be light on, and I read "Lo Fuel" on the DTE option of EVIC, then, I can put easyly 18 gallons (almost 70 litres). Sometimes, after driving for 20 miles, more or less, with warning light on, I put 19 gallons. I would do this test before going to the dealer: Try to fill tank as slowly as you can. When hose stops for first time, tank is not full, that's sure. Wait for 30 seconds or 1 minute, and press hose trigger to fill again, you'll be able to put another gallon, at least. If you repeat that waiting after second stop, it's posible you get a 19 gallons fuelup (if tank was almost empty).

Same here, I've ran it down to the low fuel light many times, and was able to put 18-19 gallons in. Yet my gauge reads 7/8 full every time. I think the gauge is just wrong cause it seems like I'm using the full 21gal tank capacity (low fuel light comes on with about 2-3 gallons to go). Stupid gauge is wrong IMO. gallegos07
Thanks for the tips. I'm currently at 32 miles left and low fuel light just came on. Going to test it out today
