dhh3
How do you have it programmed? Mine is programmed so it will unlock only the driver's door with the first push. The second push unlocks the rest of the doors and the hatch. Tito Mon and Potlicquor

The switch itself may be problematic and/or worn out. At this stage, I would recommend having your dealer look at both the key fob and your vehicle to verify what the issue may be. weasey31, dhh3 and Tito Mon
Tito Mon
I'm thinking of FUSE,, is there a fuse correspondent to the tailgate switch door? I look it in the diapraghm but I cannot find it,, as much as I want it DIY for me first,, thanks guys,, dhh3
bigtsr
I don't believe you will find an individual fuse for the switch, they don't do that. The tailgate is a dirt magnet could be part of the problem but could also be a broken wire in the cabin to hatch door loom and this been a reported failure in the past. weasey31
The key fob remote could be worn out. The fobs can attract moisture if there's any cracks in the rubber push buttons or plastic casing has been broken exposing the inside. The electronic circuit board inside can get oxidized and prevent the small metal buttons from making contact when you press any function (panic, unlick, lock, start) on the remote. dhh3
dhh3
I put key fob and keys in the ruler pocket of my jeans. The fob has now been cleaned 2x in the washer with Arm and Hammer detergent and Downey softener. Still works fine! I need to stop doing this! Both of mine are cracked and exposed. My daughter threw one of the two FOB's on the macadum this weekend and it busted into gazillion pieces. I have one left! dhh3

Dave uses Downey fabric softener, so if you had run them through the washer and used Bounce it might not have busted. dhh3
dhh3
I didn't dry them; so no need for bounce. I did put them on the top of the dryer to get some heat into them! Oh, and yes, the dryer was running.
