Single Din Aftermarket Radio Installation Help.

Recommended Posts

Hi..

I bought a Pioneer DEH-X66BT radio, wire harness and antenna adapter.

I successfully removed stock radio.

Wire harness and radio wires all connected.

Dash kit installed.

There's a red wire that needs to be connected to the radio.

I don't know where to connected and can't find the interior fuse box.

Please help

Thanks!

Good luck. If the new radios are like the old ones, the power will be in the smaller connector. I see the big gray connector in one of your photos. That is for the speakers. Also, the antenna on the DJ is powered. You have to make sure that this is hooked up too. Otherwise, your reception will be lousy

I successfully installed the radio..

I used a T-Tap connector in one of the car lighter positive wire and works..!

This is a good idea too.

The power wire, I believe, is not in the gray connector, but is in the small connector; that is, if these new radios connect like the MyGigs. MyGigs had 3 connectors: big white - video, big gray - speakers, small one in the center, if I am remembering correctly, power and also power for the antenna.
