Reg66
Hi, I picked up a set of the Dodge wind deflectors when I got the vehicle today. I have installed these before on other vehicles and they have always gone into the window channel. These seem to just tape on the outside of the window and the directions are not that clear. Are these that simple and there taped on or am I reading the directions wrong? Thanks Bob
larryl
I bought a set also & they are sitting in my basement as they seem useless to me very poorly made
wyoram
I have used the ones with the tape. The tape is very strong. Clean the area the tape will be sticking too with isopropolene(sp) alchohol, and tape into place. Done. I have had them on a vehicle for over 3 years with no issues. Hay WYORAM The ones that you bought. Were they the Mopar ones sold by the dealer ? I'm thinking of getting them myself and I'm also wondering what the benifits are. Do they cut down on the wind coming through. My Journey is driving me nuts with the wind tunnel effect I get when I open up my driver side window. I haven't put them on the Journey. The ones I have are on my pick-up. The main reason for me having them is when it is raining and the window is cracked open a little bit for a cigarette the water would drip into the interior. Now it doesn't. The Girlfriend won't let me smoke in the Journey.

wyoram
Understand now...... Thanks. No problem. And another trick I think will work when installing the tape kind is spray some soapy water on the surface the tape will be sticking too. The reason for this is once the tape touches the metal it will be stuck there. Soapy water should let you be able to adjust the fitment without major issues. Eventually the water will evaporate and you will still have a good bond. Window tinters use this method and I think it should work the same for the windor visors. Next time I install some I am going to try it out.

wyoram
Well, you just tell your girlfriend she has to get out when you are smoking in the Journey!! Not to sure how that will fly. LOL. It is mainly her car. The bad thing is she is a smoker too. But I did smoke in her last car and she did not know about it. Hehe
