Mysty2
Does anyone have problems with their transmission. I have a DJ 2013 Crew. What I mean is that when I first take the DJ in the morning I find that the transmission shift hard and make a bang sound. When the engine has warm up it does not shift as hard. Is this normal ?? dhh3

Easy Rider
I also have a 2013 DJ Crew and about every 8th shift from park to drive is brutal. Loud clunk noise, sounds the tranny is about to drop. Not really sure why. It happens even if I am on a flat surface, engine cold or hot. I can't seem to find a common denominator as to what would prompt it to do that, just has a mind of it's own. dhh3
jkeaton
Unfortunately, yes. Transmission clunks and thunks are well documented on this site. 2late4u and dhh3
dhh3
No clunks for me. The noise may be be the torque converter clutch not unlocking when it is supposed to.
Official Dodge Support DodgeCares Posted February 16, 2016 Official Dodge Support Report Share Posted February 16, 2016 While it certainly could be normal, it would be helpful to have a dealership take a look at your concerns to be sure. Has the vehicle done this since you've owned it? jkeaton and dhh3
