steelieman
My Journey hit 4,000km today and the oil change like came on. Is it normal to change oil after only 4,000km? With my other cars, I have always follow the "5,000km" rule. Thanks in advance.

After this one, it should be between 5000 and 10000km.
wyoram
Mine showed up early too. Seems to be the norm.
sdeveau
Ours showed up early, about 4,200 kms. Much quicker than we anticipated.
GHDave
My first one came on around 4300km and the second one came on around 14,000km. Apparently, they come on about 6oo-800km early than the service is required also
Colorancher
Supposedly, the electronics monitors how hard the engine is worked for the change interval. I am sure they take a conservative approach. I put in Mobil One anyway and will continue to change at 6000 miles, whatever that is in kilometers (or is that kilometres?). :D
