Micheal Ralston
I don't know if anyone will know the answer to this. I have a 2010 DJ SXT and i like the 2nd gen grill, black headlights and led tail lights. I'm wondering if they are the exact same shape and have the same mounts as the 1st gen DJ. They look the same but i don't want to go out and buy them and have them not fit.
Lvcoyote
Just go to www.rockauto.com, look up the parts for both years, and see if they are the same. I did a quick check on 2010 & 2013 headlights and the same part numbers were listed for both years. They should have a listing for the other parts your looking for as well. Lobitz68
The grill and headlights fit for sure, although you will have a tough time finding black headlights. For those you will most likely need to crack open a pair and paint them... The tail lights are the same shape, but I'm not sure about the mounts. I would guess that they are the same, but maybe you can talk someone into popping one off and snapping a couple pics for you to compare. My biggest concern with the tail lights would be that the newer ones are LED and might have different connections. dhh3
dhh3
The incandescent tail lights are still standard on the Low Line DJ. The LEDs are on the ones as you move up the scale. So, yes, they are interchangeable. There is 12v going to the tail lights. The ballast or whatever is required for the LEDs is located in the housings. As a side note, there is a thread on the forum where a member wanted to swap his incandescent tail light bulbs for LEDs. I removed both light assemblies on the left side of the my DJ, and took all kinds of pictures for him, and posted them for him. He never replied! :-( Since there is 12v at the tail lights, I have no reason why trailer wire harnesses come with or without LEDs. Makes no sense to me. dhh3
Go with the blacked out headlights and tail lights on the Crossroad or Blacktop option. You will not be disappointed! jkeaton
