Bjackrel
So I bought a 2012 Dodge Journey from an auto auction and there is a noise I can't figure out. If you tap the gas, there is a click under the hood... When taking your foot off the gas right away there is a single click again under the hood. The same click happens when you move it from Park to drive or drive to reverse etc. it's just a one second click and I can't figure out what it is. It doesn't happen after the one second until you put your foot on the gas again or take your foot off. Anyone have any clue? Thanks for any help! bigtsr
Sounds motor mount related or at the the very least engine torque related. Cabling creaking or hitting something as motor moves! dhh3

I agree with bigtsr... Sounds like a motor mount needs to be replaced. dhh3
dhh3
I could be wrong, but a motor mount would be more like a clunk than a click. I wounder if it is a relay? Does the DJ have ETC?
Official Dodge Support DodgeCares Posted June 25, 2015 Official Dodge Support Report Share Posted June 25, 2015 Welcome to the forum, Bjackrel! What type of engine do you have? I would like to research your concern to see if there are any possibly related TSBs.
Bjackrel
I gave the 2.4L.... I'm hearing it could be a motor mount or a transmission mount
Official Dodge Support DodgeCares Posted July 2, 2015 Official Dodge Support Report Share Posted July 2, 2015 Bjackrel, Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any TSBs related to your concern. I would recommend bringing your vehicle to an FCA dealership for a formal diagnosis.
dhh3
I guess that no one knows if the DJ has ETC - Electronic Throttle Control - Drive By Wire. If so, it could be the relay clicking.
