onecrazyfoo4u
My 2012 DJ is at 93k miles, and approaching the 96k mile spark plug change (3.6L). I was going to order spark plugs to avoid paying dealer prices. The manual says RER8ZWYCB4 (Gap 0.043"), but doesn't say which brand. Are the oem ones Mopar, or NGK, Champion, etc? Just want to replace with the same parts. Thanks guys!
Lobitz68
When I google the part number, Champion Iridium plugs come up...nothing else. That would be my guess.
onecrazyfoo4u
It looks like they must be Champion, because that's the only brand plug with that part number. Can anybody confirm this? Pep Boys has a killer deal on them right now, $7.50 a piece ($45 total). But you get 35% off online orders ($29 total). Then there's a Champion mail in rebate for $2.50 per plug. So $15 total for all 6 iridium plugs. Great deal if anyone needs plugs right now! dhh3
jkeaton
Parts store should be able to confirm OEM replacements.
bfurth
Champion is OEM for my '10 T&C 3.8L, so I don't see why it wouldn't be aoEM for the 3.6L. jkeaton
onecrazyfoo4u
Alrighty, I ordered the champion ones before the deal ended. Will see for sure when I tear apart the upper engine to replace them. Maybe I'll post a DIY thread for changing the plugs...since there isn't one yet... 4drvet

onecrazyfoo4u
Ah, very good. No need to do a DIY thread then. Just follow the 935 steps to change spark plugs . Thanks Journey_SeXT 2late4u
bfurth
Ah, very good. No need to do a DIY thread then. Just follow the 935 steps to change spark plugs . Thanks Journey_SeXT And this is why I like the 2.4L. Step 1: remove engine "beauty" cover Step 2: unbolt and remove coil pack on each spark plug Step 3: remove spark plug Step 4: install new plug Step 5: reconnect coil pack Step 6: re-attach engine" beauty cover I think it took me longer to type this that it would actually take to change out the plugs. You need fewer tools to replace the spark plugs in the 2.4L than you do to change the oil! dhh3
onecrazyfoo4u
Yeah but you gotta pay to play man! I wanted MO POWA than the 4 banger. dhh3
bfurth
I'd love to have the added power of the Pentastar versus the WGE 2.4. But I only drive 7 miles a day round trip for work. 4 cylinders is enough for me!
