MOSC842
Good afternoon fellow Journey Owners. My Cruise control quit operating, and check engine light came on. Pulled the number and says the stoplight switch needs to be replaced. I was hoping to find a video on how to replace the switch and get feedback if it is something that can be done quickly. Any help or guidance on how to would be great. Thanks in advance for your help. Mike
dhh3
If the switch is like the one for the Nitro, you only have one chance to install it. If you don't get it right the first time, it becomes worthless.
MOSC842
That is my one concern. They are not expensive but have not found anything online anywhere about the steps to do it. I have located it but it sucks to get to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike
bigtsr
I have not ever had one fail so can't speak from experience but if switch and mounting are similar there how to vids for Caravans and Chrysler cars on Youtube go there and search "Dodge brake switch replacement". dhh3
Try the nitroforumz forum. I traded a Nitro for my DJ, and that is where I learned about the single try switch. There may have been instructions on there.
