Matthew George Posted August 19, 2015 Report Share Posted August 19, 2015 Here's the issue, I cant lock the car with the FOB, so I use the button on the door(s) or just push down the plunger. I can unlock the car with the FOB (lights flash ect). I open the door, the alarm goes off....as soon as I get the FOB in the ignition (not run or accessory just in) the alarm turns off, and I can start the car. Any ideas? Think of it this way: the FOB is the transmitter, and there is a receiver in the car. If the signal only works one way, the receiver may be bad. briandf Posted October 6, 2015 Report Share Posted October 6, 2015 I had a weird experience with my 2011 journey the first month after buying it .. thought it was a good idea to leave fob INSIDE car when I got out [wife inside, listening to radio]. Problem arose when I forgot to put the fob in my pocket an hour later when we got out for lunch. Firstly, horn kept beeping when I tried locking the door (new to passive locks and didn't understand what was going on} After lunch when I opened my car door, the alarm went nuts, horn and light wouldn't stop. Finally got it to shut up LOL and never left the fob inside car again !
