David Gruar
Hello all, looking for a bit of help. The engine warning light came on last week. A day later the car went into limp mode so I had a mechanic do an engine diagnostic. It turned out it was P2002 code and referred to diesel particulate filter (DPF). I was advised to do some motorway driving to clear the code. My wife normally drives the car and generally does city driving. I took the car for a ling drive myself, approx 3 hours of motorway driving in an attempt to clear the code. Unfortunately this didnt help. I tried holding it in lower gears (hugher revs) for a few miles attempting to increase exhaust flow, but still no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? has anyone actually removed the DPF? Thanks, David

David Gruar
An update to this problem. Took me 3 separate journeys to clear the code however the car is 100% fine now. The car went back to normal mode from limp mode. The engine fault light stayed on for a day then never came back on. Much happier to drive again jkeaton
jkeaton
Those things need to be cleaned out on a regular basis.
