yahve
If anyone have a 2011 Uconnect (System updated 2015), and you have some trouble for big library, this information can help you.I spent so much time to find the best and the easy way to synchronize my iTunes library (70 GB / 8000 song)First SDXC (Fat32) don't work in my 2011 Journey, only SDHC (Fat32), so I'm limited to 32gb cards. I decide to use a 128gb (Fat32) USB stick and it work great. The first try, my system recognize only 5999 songs, after a lot of recherche I've found the problem. Uconnect is enable to read only 1024 folders, and my song are organized by Artist/Album/Songs. I need to eliminate some folders and organize my usb stick only by Artist/Songs. After that, I can see all my 8000 songs. For do that : On Mac OS, I've use the 5$ application M3Unify from DougScripts. (http://dougscripts.com/itunes/itinfo/m3unify.php)This application can synchronize all songs, and playlist on your USB stick / SD Card. For the playlists, you need to export 1 playlist at a time. (By drag and drop in the application)With this application you can export songs by creating only artist or album folder if you want, so this is reduce the number of folders. On windows, I think Media Monkey can do the samething. After a synchronization on the stick, Uconnect system need approximately 15min for enable navigation by Artist / Playlist / Albums...Unfortunately my 2011 Uconnect don't allow me to see Artwork, even if all artworks are embedded in each song.Sorry for my bad english ! dhh3
I found a much easier way after a lot of research. I use a PC 1. Copy the entire iTune Library to the Music Folder on the PC. There a a number of step to do this. I found out how to do it by asking on GOOGLE. 2. iTunes is now a folder under Music. 3. Copy this folder to the SD Card. I used a 32 because I have not quite 2,300 songs 4. Open the folder on the SD card. There will be at least 2 folders with just code. Remove these folders 5. Now my SD Card works just kike an iPod. The song, album, artist, year, type of music (rock, etc), play similar all display. All art displays, unless I downloaded the art from iTunes. This art will only play on an Apple product. 6. I can search by song, artist, album. I can play all from each artist. I just use the Shuffle button 7. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to add new music!
